About the Role

A substitute teacher's role is to provide support to the teaching staff of the Preschool and Parent’s Morning Out programs.

Hours and Duration: 8:30-1:30 on assigned days for the school year.
Duties: Assist the classroom teacher with all activities.
- Place chairs around tables in the morning.
- Stack chairs at the end of the day.
- Clean tables after snack, lunch and at the end of the day.
- Sweep the tile areas at the end of the day.
- Make sure all toys and supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of the day.
- Supervise lunch and snack by supporting the teachers.
- Supervise the playground by supporting the teachers.
- Help prepare for dismissal by packing book bags and diaper bags.
- Assist with diaper changing in the Parent's Morning Out classes and help supervise bathroom visits in the preschool classes.
- Perform other duties as required in the normal course of a day.
